Here you will find my top music picks!


1. Lindsey Stirling- I enjoy every piece of music she releases and it’s very inspiring to listen to especially since you don't see many violinist combine the traditional with the creative.

2. Twenty One Pilots- Their music has always been outside the box with each album telling a new story through the lyrics.

3. Maggie Rogers- She has only been around for a few years with just one full album but her voice is one not to forget.

4. Imagine Dragons- Most people have probably heard of them since their music is always on the radio but I really like how they dive deep into human emotions in their songs.

5. Brynn Elliott- She has just a couple singles out and I particularly like her song Might Not Like Me because it talks about how it doesn’t matter wether someone is faster or smarter than you. You should just be you and not worry if someone else likes you or not.

6. Lauren Daigle- I could say a lot of things about her but I’m just going to point out her passion for music and for God in her work.

7. Britt Nicole- Another woman with powerful lyrics who speaks to everyone no matter who you are or where you come from.

8. Jamie Grace- I haven’t listened to any of her new music recently but I really like her One Song at a Time album from 2011.

9. John Powell- He has done a number of soundtracks for Dreamworks animation including my favorite franchise How To Train Your Dragon among others.

10. Meghan Trainor- Her music has a funky upbeat vibe most of the time which just makes me want to get up and dance but she also has some calmer tones too.

A Journey Through the History of Film

Greetings everyone! I’m not sure if you are aware of it but we are coming up on the 125th anniversary of cinema in 2020 which I believe is a very momentous occasion. In honor of this historic event I am going to watch 45 of film’s best works over the course of the next year and blog about how film has changed or not changed since its beginning. Pope John Paul 2 released this list of films approved by the Vatican on March 17, 1995 as a way to celebrate the 100th anniversary of cinema that year. In his own words the pope said, “The film industry has become a universal medium exercising a profound influence on the development of people’s attitudes and choices, and possessing a remarkable ability to influence public opinion and culture across all social and political frontiers.” This is still very true in today’s society but unfortunately the quality of film has gone down hill significantly since its golden age. You're never too old to play

People play all the time in many different ways and as you get older the way you play changes but you still do it. I happen to enjoy bike riding and taking walks but I really didn't get into that until a few years ago when I discovered my mom's love of it. There are some activities that you might have enjoyed when you were young and still like them now, which is great because you have something you can always turn to. Play is important for you so that your body can get moving, burn off energy, and release hormones because it really is fun to get moving. You can play indoors or out, do it with friends or solo, do the same thing each time or switch it up but how ever you do it, it's your thing.
